Biomechanics

Human walking is a process in which the erect, moving body is supported by first one leg and then the other.  As the moving body passes over the supporting leg, the other leg swings forward in preparation for its next support phase.  Research has identified optimal biomechanics for human walking.  Deviations from the optimal model are the cause of pain, dysfunction and injury.  Our certified pedorthists are trained in advanced gait analysis.
